Spanish Steps GSM 2023
Our GSM is a blend of Garnacha, Shiraz and Monastrell fruit, all grown on our property. All three parcels of fruit used for the blend are vinified individually. Maturation is 10 months in a combination of new and old French oak barriques before blending. This is a wonderful expression of GSM that can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 10 years.
TASTING NOTES:
Colour: Plum red
Aromas: Chocolate, hazelnuts, plums, cedar and a sprinkle of vanilla. Hints of clove, liquorice and wild strawberries.
Palate: Denser flavours, medium bodied. Lovely core of sweet fruit all supported by fine tannins and darker secondary complexities. Plums, baked raspberry, white pepper and figs. Complex, complete. It is a serious wine without the need of a knife and fork!
63.5% Grenache 32.5% Shiraz 4% Monastrell
