Dardanup Art Spectacular

The Dardanup Art Spectacular really is SPECTACULAR. And not just for its generous prize money.

The Dardanup Art Spectacular (DAS) brings together existing and emerging artistic talent over one exciting weekend in the beautiful surrounds of the Ferguson Valley WA. It all begins with a major exhibition in the Dardanup Hall that showcases breathtaking and innovative art across painting, sculpture and photography.

The weekend also offers a local Art Trail where you can wander the back roads of the Ferguson Valley meeting local artists in their own studios and in venues in the township of Dardanup. A number of wineries and breweries are also exhibiting artists work and what better way to contemplate your next piece of art than surrounded by the fine food and wines of the Ferguson Valley.

The Dardanup Art Spectacular is a weekend not to be missed.

This year we will have two artists in residence at the cellar door:

Hazel Hume “Blurred Amber”
Hazel create colourful stained glass sun catchers and small panels in a tiny workspace in a corner of her bedroom! She loves every part of the process, from sketching a design to polishing the final piece. New to glasswork and only making her first piece in July, she has been doing it as much as possible since then! She moved to Bunbury in October from Edinburgh, Scotland and is enjoying getting to know the local arts & crafts scene.

Tessa Birch “ Colours of the Kimberly”
Original Aboriginal Dot Artwork and Aboriginal art styles that are inspired from her country in the Kimberley. Tessa’s artworks tell stories that have been passed down and draws inspiration from this country of red pindan, freshwater springs, mangrove creeks and blue oceans.
